This is a versatile size, perfect for a range of uses, but if you tend to use thicker yarn, opt for a larger size. If you prefer thinner yarn, start with one of the smaller, metal buckles.

3 Ways to Style Handmade Accessories with a Scarf buckle

1. Cowboy Style - this look reminds me of a bolo tie. Take both ends of the scarf and hold them together. Place the ends under one side of the buckle, over the bar, and down through the opposite side.  
2. Crossed Ends - Like the Cowboy Style but each end of the scarf is fed through the buckle in opposing directions.
3. Overstuffed - If you you're want to use your buckle with a scarf. That's a little too thick, only place one end of the scarf through the buckle. Take the other end and feed it under the fabric parallel to the bar.

To use the buckle to secure your scarf or shawl, both ends must be threaded over the middle bar.
