ParkLife is an easy lace shawl first designed exclusively for shops on the bridge and tunnel tour, spring 2017. Its simple triangular construction paired with a foliage-inspired border are perfect for warm weather knitting. In keeping with the musical theme of MollyGirl Yarn, ParkLife is named for Blur’s 1994 album and hit single of the same name.
Use 1 skein of any MollyGirl fingering weight yarn (or 2 for a large size) in your favorite base to get a classic, sparkly, natural, or fuzzy look.
Pattern Stats
Finished Size: 60 (90)“ x 17.5 (26.5)” or 152.5 (228.5) cm x 44.5 (67) cm triangle shape.
Yarn: 1 (2) skeins of MollyGirl Yarn Fermata, 435 yards (398 meters) per 100g skein (50% Alpaca, 25% Silk, 25% Linen). Shown in colorway Stutter
or 1 (2) skeins of any other MollyGirl fingering weight yarn such as Diva, Bouncer, or Duet.
Needles: Size 5 (3.75mm) 32” circular needles, or size needed to obtain gauge.
Gauge: 18 stitches and 30 rows for a 4” (10 cm) square of St St after blocking.
Other Materials: Sewing needle, pins, blocking surface.
Skill Level: This pattern is straight forward lace knitting. It uses charts and written instruction, increases, and decreases.
