2-Day Fox Paws Workshop: March 14-15 from 12:30 - 15:30
In this class students will learn the basics of knitting with stacked stitches and begin a Fox Paws Wrap. We will start with an introduction to the stacked increase and decrease technique with some swatches in an easy stack pattern. After all this hard work, there is a coloring break where we explore color choices.
In the second half of the class, we will start working on our Fox Paws Swatches. Students will learn ways to check their own work and fix any problems that arise at home while testing out their new yarn and color choice in the pattern.
Yarn: Worsted weight scrap yarn in multiple colors and 5 colors of yarn in the weight of your choice for a final project.
Needles: Size 8 (5mm) 20˝circular needles. Extra needles in adjacent
sizes may be helpful.
Length: This workshop is divided in two parts, Part 1 is on the 13th of March from 12.30 to 15.30 and Part 2 is also from 12.30 to 15.30 on the 14th of March. 1 Ticket gives you access to both parts of the workshop.
Level: Experts and brave beginners, knit and purl stitches, increases and decreases as well as chart reading You'll begin by learning and practicing how to knit increases and decreases for a simple stacked stitch pattern. Then, color changes and color choices will be discussed. In the afternoon, you will start working on your own Fox Paws shawl and learn how to avoid, find, and correct mistakes.
